Welcome to the NZ Crypto Marketplace
A Discord group where Kiwis can easily discover and communicate with P2P crypto buyers and sellers across New Zealand.
What is the NZ Cryptocurrency Marketplace?
The NZ Cryptocurrency Marketplace is a Discord community established to provide Kiwis with a local platform where they can easily discover and communicate with peer-to-peer crypto buyers and sellers across New Zealand.
After joining the NZ Crypto Marketplace, you’ll find multiple rooms for each major city, (#Auckland, #Wellington, #Christchurch, #NZ Wide), where you can discover and converse with P2P crypto traders in your area on your own accord.
What is P2P Cryptocurrency Trading?
P2P trading is the act of buying, selling, or exchanging cryptocurrency directly between 2 users; without the use of an exchange, retailer, or third party to facilitate the transaction process.
P2P is the rawest form of cryptocurrency trading available, with its own pros and cons; revolving around the safety of the trading process and the benefits of acquiring crypto where you’re not required to compromise your financial privacy.
Since 2016, New Zealand AML law has required NZ crypto services to collect and provide information on their users to the IRD, including details such as names, wallet addresses, order history, device information, IP addresses, and more.
A P2P crypto trader is anyone who buys and sells crypto directly with other users, as opposed to buying through an exchange or retailer.
Disclaimer: As an individual, you are entirely responsible for how you conduct your trades and engage with other members of the community. NZ Crypto Marketplace admins recommend taking extreme caution and care when trading and are not responsible for the outcomes, management, or oversight of your activities. We do not vouch for the authenticity of any trader, and it is exclusively your own responsibility to perform due diligence when trading. This is the challenge of P2P – if you cannot operate safely on your own, you may be better suited to traditional methods of buying and selling crypto.
