Harry Satoshi

Harry Satoshi is a New Zealand independent crypto journalist and Chief Editor at Cryptocurrency NZ. Based in Ōtūtahi/Christchurch, he entered the Bitcoin space in 2017 as the first employee at Easy Crypto NZ at 18 before founding Cryptocurrency NZ, Crypto Consulting NZ, the NZ P2P Marketplace, and the University of Canterbury Crypto Society DAO.

Harry grew and stewarded the country’s largest crypto communities on Facebook, Reddit, and Discord, while orchestrating 600+ crypto meetups nationwide. He contributes to Web3NZ following its transfer from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment to the community, and offers direct consulting through Crypto Consulting NZ.

In 2025, Harry stepped down as CEO of CNZ to flatten the organisation’s governance and specialise fully in journalism, event coverage, storytelling, and providing actionable reporting for everyday Kiwis.
